Following the successful relocation of our websites and online store etc – where everything is working fine – the next thing to do is get the newsletters rolling again.
At the moment, I am evaluating several third party providers. All of them are hideously expensive. There are a couple that are more reasonable, but I need a provider that will allow me to send from three different domains (say what!!!).
This is important as there are new rules in place that ensure sure that what you receive is genuinely from the domain it is being sent from. This has the added bonus of making sure it is not flagged as spam and will also automatically insert an unsubscribe button in your email client – this is in addition to the unsubscribe link you get by default, of course.
To accomplish this, I need to add an assortment of records to my hosting provider which are then used to validate the mails going out. No problem with this, of course, but I need a newsletter provider first!
Anyway, while I am working on the most cost effective way of doing this, please make sure you follow us on Bandcamp – as I will send out newsletters via their service until I am happy with the independent route.
