As 2024 draws to a swift close, I thought it would be a great time to look back on the year and reflect on what we’ve achieved. I often feel like I haven’t done enough, but when I pause to review, it turns out I accomplished more than I gave myself credit for!
Musical Highlights:
- Released A Haunting at Sea, the debut album from my electronic progressive side project Afraid to Wake. It’s available on CD and download.
- Dropped the single Northbound Flux.
- Compiled and released the EP Before the End, Pt. 1.
- Shared two more singles: Before and After and Falling Dust.
Personal and Professional Milestones:
- Added a beautiful PRS guitar to my modest collection.
- Recovered from a hospitalisation (phew!).
- Received some fantastic reviews for our music.
- Uploaded several YouTube videos.
- Finished all the vocal recordings for the new album (stay tuned!).
- Replaced the floor in my studio.
- Read an incredible 85 books and drank… probably around 1,000 cups of coffee (give or take).
When I look at it all, it’s been a pretty solid year!
